EXCEPTIONAL BLUES SINGER SOUGHT
The Tommy G Group is looking for a frontman, strong voice, entertainer who sings Blues in key, knows how to come in on 1, can belt out lyrics with wide vocal range. Our established gigging group is experienced and are capable players. Our material centers around the early Black Blues pioneers and artist that followed such as Robert Johnson, Louie Jordan, Freddie King, Albert King, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Sam & Dave, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf. We also explore material from other later artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Delbert McClinton, Stones, Hendrix, Allman Brothers, ZZ top and more. We also perform originals that are Texas Blues Rock oriented.
We prefer you reside reasonably close to our area of Claremont CA. Seeking an individual who is easy going, sober, reliable, dependable, no drama, trouble free. If you can play keys, or rhythm guitar, that's a plus. We would welcome a performer that wants to dedicate themself to one band, can consistantly attend our Thursday evening rehearsals once a week. Someone who has experience with our genre, learns quickly and comes prepared to work and enjoys adding excellence to the group. We would like for possible candidate to work off of our established play list. Please, ego's and attitudes are discouraged, as well, politics and religion are areas we do not venture into at practice or gigs.
If you love to really sing your Blues tail off, entertain a crowd, have good stage presence and moves, we would like to see or hear a clip of your work.
